The STEW-R is a dual router/VPN gateway appliance that incorporates an IAS Router and a Cisco Embedded Service Router (ESR) in a single device (both of which are NSA CSfC APL listed). The STEW-R is based on the proven, fielded legacy IAS STEW product with several product enhancements including: 

  • 20% smaller than the legacy IAS STEW 
  • Machined aluminum enclosure design 
  • More robust power connector design (LEMO) 
  • User accessible cellular SIM slots
  • Built-in (user serviceable) battery

Additionally, the STEW-R is approved for use in the DISN DECTK-GW Program for Executive Communicators.


The SDN-A-2S-R is a dual VPN Gateway/Single appliance form factor. It incorporates two (2) SDN-A MICROs in a small low power appliance. The flexibility of the SDN-A-2S in application use cases is unlike any other CSfC solution in the market, which makes stocking and sparing the device streamlined for larger deployments.

We have teamed with Epiq Solutions to deliver highly secure, small form factor IP Routers with Epiq’s embedded software-defined radio (SDR) technology.

The integrated solution brings Epiq’s Sidekiq™ family of RF transceivers to our MICRO and NANO IP routers. The result is a powerful combination of SDR applications with NSA CNSA (Suite B) IPsec VPN tunneling over commercial technologies such as Cellular and Wi-Fi.

The Cyber VauLTE™ is the smallest military-grade, deployable cellular network solution available today. Comprised of the SDN-A MICRO and RIVA’s base station transceiver(s), Cyber VauLTE™ performs as a private tactical cellular bubble. Additionally, it securely long-hauls voice and data using CNSA (Suite B) IPSec, to another bubble or back to a headquarters location.

The CCESR-2C is the first and only appliance that contains two (2) Cisco 5915 routers, designed for use with a Type 1 COMSEC device. The CCESR-2C is a small device, roughly the size of a ream of paper and weighs less than five pounds. It has an internal battery and uninterruptible power supply (UPS) that provides over one hour run time.

The Sub U Systems Rugged CSfC Airborne Solution (RuCAS) is a purpose-built appliance designed from the ground up for rotary and fixed-wing aircraft applications. The RuCAS is the first of its kind DO-160 flight qualified and meets MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-461. In addition to airborne applications, the RuCAS can be deployed in ground and maritime, manned and unmanned, platforms.

The RuCAS contains seven (7) SUB-U Software Definable Network–Appliance™ (SDN-A™) modules. Each SDN-A module can be configured with one or more software based virtualized network function (VNF) or host application sever virtual machine appliances.

A single RuCAS can contain every networking function required to meet one or multiple NSA Commercial Solutions for Classified (CSfC) data in transit Capability Packages. This unique capability makes the RuCAS the first “single box” complete CSfC infrastructure solution. The solution is rugged, low SWaP, and provides enterprise class performance.

The RuCAS appliance is available with traditional MIL-STD 38999 connectors for airborne and extremely rugged applications, or standard 10G Base-T RJ45 interfaces for interoperability with other COTS equipment.


Additionally, SUB-U has ruggedized the Aruba AP555, developing a new environmentally robust enclosure and internal electronics to meet DO-160 flight qualification and MIL-STD-810 levels of ruggedization. The creation of the SUB-U Rugged Aruba AP555 is based on a partnership between SUB-U and Aruba, a Hewlett Packard Enterprise company.

The SUB-U Rugged AP555 (SUB-U R-AP555) retains all the capabilities of the COTS Aruba AP555, including: 802.11ax (Wi-Fi 6) up to 5Gbps throughput, Bluetooth Low Energy capability, PoE power consumption, etc. The R-AP555 maintains support for all standard Aruba Access Point Modes of Operation, including standalone, with an Aruba Mobility Controller Appliance, or Access Point.
